Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) are widespread. Most common FGIDs encountered in gastroenterology practice are functional dyspepsia & irritable bowel syndrome. Digestive enzymes have shown significant improvement in symptoms caused by FD & IBD which include abdominal pain, bloating, early satiety, fullness, belching, & nausea.
